So for Rogue I wanted to make her I wanted to make her costume look like something that could work in the real world, which is what I'm doing for all of my MCU X-Men Evolution team. I chose to use a Sharon Carter body because it's a much cheaper and easier to get, it has all of the sculpted seam lines you'd expect a body suit to have. I cut off the raised collar disassembled the entire body and began to paint. For her torso I used a metallic green instead of teal like in the show because I loved the way it looked on the Jim Lee Rogue a while back. In the show she had on shin guards, so I took the legs from the knees down off a mockingbird from the same wave. I left her booted feet on because Rogue is the type to wear combat boots instead of heels or wedges. I then painted the kneepads and shin guards with model masters Steel. For her lower arms I again took from Mockingbird and decided to keep the forearm armor and painted it to match the shin guards. Her Jacket. I decide to give her the leather jacket as a nod to the Jim Lee costume, it's not my favorite costume but I do really like the Jacket look. It's something different that helps her stand out. I took the jacket and upper arms from a Netflix Jessica Jones. (tip: if you're going to repaint the rubbery jacket spray it with Pliasti-Dip first. the Plasti-Dip will adhere to the rubber and then the paint will adhere to the Plasti-Dip and cure SO MUCH faster) Her Head, that's easy, I repainted an extra Scar-Jo Black widow head I had. I used metallic purple for her lips and eyeliner. I'm still working on painting heads so I know it's still a little rough. Overall I really like the way she came out and am happily adding her to my X-Men team! Next up, the team leader: Cyclops! ![]() |
