I've somehow managed to get Showcase Presents Batman Volume 4 while looking for stories to add to my collection, and thus my personal Batman canon. I'm very selective about it. I've got no room for the campy adventures that happened during the 60's, but Carmine Infantino was still drawing Batman when the comics started to get dark again, so I grew very fond of that outfit.

The golden age Batman figure was very close to what I wanted. All it needed to have was a smaller bat with a yellow elipse around it. I didn't try to match Infantino's bat, but instead I came up with all-encompassing retro version of the 1960's emblem. Every artist of the time seemed to draw it differently. Once again, I ripped out the plastic cape and outfitted a spandex version. I feel like I've gotten so good at these lately. It's the Batman I'm most proud to share with you so far.
