Thanks a lot. The heads have been carefully repainted and it's really the only way to do the character justice. I make my ball joint sockets with a rotary tool. First I sever the neck with and exacto knife then carve down to the jawline/ just below hair and ear. Then I use mostly the router cutter to dig out the hole. Little by little and use another Hasbro head for reference on where the hole needs to be. Keep trying to pop it on until it fits and looks right. If you carve too big you can use a tiny drop of super glue in the spot you cut too much and sprinkle baking soda on it. Then sand it down.
