While I've been happy with both renditions of Pyro I've made, Avalanche always seems a bit off. I've made him three or four times now and there's always something about him that seems off. I end up liking the helmet, but consider changing the body type. Or, I don't like the helmet, but think the body came out perfect. I'm not a huge fan of his comic designs either, so that probably doesn't help. But, I wanted to give him one more go. Sculpted up the belt, helmet, shoulders, and end of his gloves. Legs were from Doc Samson. Full repaint, and done!
Ya know what the problem is with him too? He was often drawn as being kinda buff. Even the 90s X-toon had him looking every bit as beefy as someone like Captain America, so you feel compelled to make him bigger than just your ordinary DD body. Either way, I think this here pretty much nails it. Plus, I've never been a fan of monograms, so I never liked the A emblem on his torso either which again makes this one preferable. I mean you could play with the shades of blue but I'm thinking this one is pretty much it. Plus, its one of the few times having two open hands makes sense too. Nice! ~phin
Ugh, I absolutely hated that awful A across his chest. lol That is a good point, though. He was always drawn oversized and a bit disproportionate even. That would explain why so many customizers just redesign him altogether. Makes sense. Thanks for the compliment!
