I read a ton of Savage Sword of Conan comics when I was growing up and the incredible artwork by the likes of Joe Jusko, John Buscema, and Earl Norem made a huge impression on me. Their paintings & drawings always inspired me, but after seeing jessecuster's mindblowing Conan custom 6-inch figures on here years ago, I decided that I needed to have a fantasy Conan figure in my preferred scale (1:6 or 12-inch figures). There are plenty of Arnold Schwarzennegger movie Conans at this scale, but almost no fantasy painting-based ones.

Almost everything you see is either heavily customized or scratch-built (including the stone base). For full recipe & behind the scenes pics, check out famousfigures dot com. The most important thing is this: On a fantasy artwork-based Conan figure, the muscles are the whole point of the figure. I spent a ton of time creating this body as no commercially available ones fit the bill.

Anyways, I worked on some version of this figure for 5 years. Some versions were very cartoony, but this version came together in the last 2 years or so. I hope you like it.
