Up next is another character I've wanted for a long time and got tired of waiting for Hasbro to make him. Back in the late summer, the Articulated Icons went back up for sale, and in addition to some Red Ninjas, I picked up a Temple Guardian for the express purpose of making a Silver Samurai. I felt that the base was perfect and ordered one right away.

Body, swords: Temple Guardian (Articulated Icon)
Head: Batman head cast
Feet: Cosmic/Captain Universe Spider-Man
Discs: Vintage Wave Black Widow belt

I thought Silver Samurai's masked head looked sort of like Batman, so I found and ordered a nice angry Batman head cast on eBay to stick under the helmet. I had to Dremel the head to fit the neck ball, but it wasn't any trouble. I also had left over parts from a failed Moon Knight custom and decided to use the feet from the Captain Universe body. I painted the feet, hands, and head/mask silver. I painted the rising sun on his chest a glossy red, I painted his eyes and teeth white, and mixed a skin tone for his chin and body so they'd both match. I added on the discs from the Vintage Series Black Widow's belt for his shin and forearm guards before painting them silver, too. I also glued on his helmet and his helmet's ornament piece so it wouldn't come off anymore. I also stuck his swords' sheath through the holes on his armor and back. He was a pretty easy custom, and it'll be nice to have him fighting Wolverine on my shelf at long last.
