This is the next custom I have just finished working on which is part of a series of figures based on characters from the classic 80’s ‘Jem & the Holograms’ cartoon series.
So this time I was asked to make Rio in the style of the classic She-Ra Princess of Power figures which were also released in the 80’s.

His overall look is based on the vintage 12” Rio doll but with some adjustments to help him fit in better with the vintage POP line.

To make him I used a vintage Bow (Princess of Power) figure as a base…

His hair & the front of his chest was sculpted with a product called ‘Fixit Sculpt’ & then painted with enamel paints.
I made his vest using lilac T-shirt fabric & painted the stripes on with fabric markers.
