When I picked up a few Street Fighter metal minis before, I also grabbed Ryu. Not sure why I grabbed him. The skin tones on Ryu and Ken aren't great, but the gi looks good. I tried a basic repaint on him, and then I tried to add some shading to the gi, but neither looked great. Well, they looked fine, but not really an improvement on the released figure. So, instead, I took the same approach I did when fixing up Grey Hulk. I just opted to turn him into the original Street Fighter II design of Evil Ryu. Ended up being a good alternative. I want to do more of these, but I'm not finding the ones I want. I'll have to branch out to some other stores and see what they have available. Included a before and after shot, and a group shot of the five I've done so far.
