Collective Man is actually a set of mutant quintuplets with the power to merge into one body. They first appeared in the Contest of Champions. Over the years, they have fought with and against the Avengers and the X-Men.
This is probably the first time I've tried to really replicate something! In the past, I've made SHIELD agents with similar bodies, but these figures had to be virtually identical. I made the eyebrows slightly different (figuring they're not actually the same person), and gave each figure different hands, all from Iron Fist. The heads are Steve Rogers casts. For the body, I chose Machine Man because I intended to make the earlier costume with red top/boots and blue pants, and thought purple would be a good base colour. In the end, I ended up making the latest costume, with a red and black scheme. For the stars, the little ones were stick-on accessories for fingernails. The bigger ones, however, were actually gold-coloured metal jewelry, and I had to carve star-shaped holes into the body to place them into. A lot of work, but it was fun.
