On a Batman figure (sorry, not sure the exact figure line), I removed the head and then the cape. I took the whole figure apart, sanded the joints and went with a light prime. For the fins on the outside of the arm, these are made from plastic. By the shoulder area, I cut down three lines and did the same thing for the arms. I took a mixture of a strong glue and pasted the plastic on the grooves that were previously cut on the arms and shoulders. The lower arms I took from a Conan villain figure and put them on my custom. I sanded down the Batman face and ears and sculpted the mask. For the side of the ears, I also used some plastic and glued them to the head using that mixture. Put the character together and primed him again. I airbrushed it with a light red first, and went with a dark red for the highlights. I then carefully hand painted the yellow on the stomach and on the side of his legs. The symbol on his chest is made of vinyl and carefully placed.
