I was thinking of the same combination...but I assumed you had to cut the original neck peg and drill and insert a new one a half inch or so, above the old one?

I like the new placement of the fin.

I am scared to do the same as you with the fin. I am still not sure how to handle the head.

Any way...good job on the look and execution. The blue was a nice touch.
