I used a Batman figure and shaved most of the extra stuff off the arms and legs and clipped the ears off with a razor blade. I didn't have any scuplting clay so I used acrylic gesso to smooth out the torso and hide the molded on harness. Sanded it. Then repainted the figure by hand and added a rubberband for the belt. This is my first custom figure. It needs work, but it is finished for now.
Hey it's not any rougher than my first custom 13 yrs ago! Keep working, get yourself some Apoxie Sculpt and some other basic tools; you will be just fine!!
Great effort deserves great respond... and you did well. If your new to customizing the realm has a lot of good tutorials to get you started. You did good for yourself on this custom, a little rough but otherwise fantastic. Welcome to the realm by the way.
Yarrrr, it's decent, just keep practicing smoothing-out what you used to sculpt with, also you don't need to cover the ENTIRE figure with the stuff, you just have to add a little to the damaged areas (in this case, wherever you cut-away a strap) and smooth the edges onto the figure.
