Hellha was born in Jotunheim, the land of the giants. She is the daughter of Loki (albeit a different incarnation1 who died during a previous Ragtarok asgardian) and the giantess Angrboða. When it matured, Odin named her as the goddess of death, giving her rule over the dead in the kingdoms of Hel and Niffleheim.
