Yeah, it's usually a good idea to think of a color-scheme and stick to it so your customs looks cleaner.

Rubberband idea is very cool, but I think it would look cool if you paint the rubberband the same color as his costume is, or black or whatever. Would also look better if you have the same blade on both hands, just a suggestion though. Other than that cool custom.
