The upcoming Scarlet Spider/Kaine figure from the SP//dr BAF Series is a good example of Hasbro willing to remake recent figures that didn't hit the mark. I feel that Red Skull from the Mandroid Series is in a similar situation, and they should definitely consider remaking him next; they even have the perfect parts to do so. Recipe: Head: Iron Skull Body: Spider-Man Noir Arms (bicep down), coat: Mandroid BAF Series Red Skull Luger: Ronan BAF Series Dr. Doom Cosmic Cube: Entertainment Earth's Guardians of the Galaxy box set For my Spider-Man Noir figure, I didn't like the arms and switched them with a movie Nick Fury so they would look more like they're wearing jacket sleeves. I then saw Stark Resilient do this for a Red Skull custom and knew I had to try it, too, except I wanted to change him up a little so he wasn't the same. I really liked how the Mandroid Series Red Skull had those nice Hydra symbols on the sides of his arms, and I wanted this figure to have them, too. I shaved out the bicep a little to avoid paint rub, as well as the neck hinge disk. I then heated and switched the arms in and gave the shoulders a grey dry brushing. I then painted the neck a Caucasian flesh tone, his buttons silver, and gave him a Cosmic Cube and Luger (the latter of which fits nicely in the holster on his belt). Now he's complete, looking cool and menacing, and probably my favorite of my three Red Skull customs (he's definitely better than anything Hasbro has done yet). ![]() |
