“Elves! Men! Dwarves! The mountain will be their tomb! To war!” As Azog elloquently put it. Hi realmers and tolkienites, I spent a good 7 days making the orc centurion who appears in the scene where Azog is leading his forces as Bolg tells him of his encounter with the elves in Lake Town and that the Dwarves have made it to the mountain. I just really like the design of this orc and it has a really Doman Centurion design to it hence the name. He had a nasty curved pike/spear weapon and heavy armour on. There wasn’t any clear look of what his back design was to j took liberties there, but ultimately the front design is what you see so I had fun finishing this cool looking armoured orc. I used a beserker Uruk as usual and sculpted the armour onto him. His pauldrons were the hardest par but I essentially used king aragorns rubbery pauldrons stuck them on his shoulders the sculpted the details over a bit of cling film and tape so theys set to the shape of be arms but not be stuck. The helm was sculpted out of just miliput for the face which I reshaped to have a gritting teeth look and sculpted the lower teeth and cocktail sticks and plastic for the metal centurion design. His kilt is made from parts of aragorns cost for the length and the rest is obviously from Uruk-Hai, but the rest is just hand sculpted from miliput ontop of the beserker. The spear is just a beserker Uruk handle attached to a Gandalf the white staff then sculpted over for the thickness to fit whilst held, but the blade is sculpted plastic stuck into the handle and sculpted over then sharpened and painted. I’ve got some WIP pics I will post eventually, but for now I just want to show the figure itself. Let me know what you think! I really want to make 2 or 3 more orcs from this film and take some shots of our hero’s fighting them.
