I've had a bunch of original designs requested recently. They're actually some of my favorites to work on. Sometimes. Sometimes trying to understand what we're making and how to go about it can be a bit rough. But it's often cool to work on something outside the usual box. And this one was especially interesting. I was asked to make a "Boss Robot" type concept. Closest guideline I had was to create something lightly similar to Gold Lightan.

So, I started with the body of Hyperion. Full torso, arms, and actually lower legs. Well, boots, specifically. Head was from the Iron Man 2 Crimson Dynamo. And the legs themselves were from Captain America. Kinda played around with a Transformers type design for a bit. Just trying to see how that would work. Sculpted up the upper arms, lower arms, legs, boots, feet, belt, lower torso, and the full upper torso. Carved 3000 into the upper torso (requested), and then sculpted up a red tie for the additional boss detail. I debated colors, but ended up following the Lightan guideline, and just stuck to a basic metal shade with silver drybrushed over gunmetal. So, full repaint, and all finished up!
