I'm a massive Jurassic Park fan. I've loved the films for as long as I can remember, and one of my favourite parts about Jurassic Park is the vehicles. I always wanted a Bush Devil Tracker as a kid. Awhile ago I picked one up, but wanted a more accurate representation of the film vehicle, so I got to work. I sanded and repainted, also did the decals myself (I'm a graphic designer at a sign shop). I used some clear acrylic to make a windshield, and chopped the Capture Arm to make the light bar for the top of the windshield. Yes, I kept the Dino Damage feature, so the windshield can be torn off the jeep. I used black vinyl to cover the spare to make a tire cover, and slapped a decal on it. I used some styrene to and hinges to make functioning doors. Also styrene for the license plates. The brake lights are from a cheap RC Jeep I found at TRU on clearance awhile back. Also I used side mirrors (added silver metallic vinyl to make it reflective), wipers, and dash from an RC Jeep YJ accessory kit I found online, had to do some trimming and cutting to make the dash fit, but it's in there. Jaws Jackson was my favourite JP figure as a kid, and I grabbed one for this, as he always reminded me of the Jeep drivers, or basic park workers. Since taking these photos I've gotten some 3D printed Jeep rims based off the ones in the film, and designed specifically to fit this toy. After some sand and paint on the rims, I'll be updating these shots. ![]() |
