I wanna give a HUGE shoutout to Stark Resilient; I wouldn't have been able to finish this without him. I knew I was gonna make this the moment I saw the new Black Knight figure unveiled. All the parts existed. I have no attachment to this look, but something about it insisted I had to try it (both products of the 90's could have something to do with it?). It does kind of look cool, am I right? Recipe: Head, torso, hands, gloves, legs just above the knees: Black Knight Jacket, arms: Old Man Logan Legs from the knees down, ion sword: Taskmaster (2016 Red Onslaught Series) Belt: Ultimate Captain America (Hit-Monkey Series, I think; that or it was the 3-pack version) I boiled and popped the torso open, swapped in the Old Man Logan shoulder balls and glued it back together. I used a hairdryer to heat and swap in Taskmaster's legs; however, I did need to shave down a little of the top of the knee joint in order for it to properly fit. I shaved down the jacket arms and glued Black Knight's gloves over them. I filled the gloves in with Milliput and put the hand pegs in there, and twisted them around until they fit snugly. No paint was needed for this guy. I was gonna paint the legs silver, but the blue kind of matched the rest of him, and I kind of liked it, so I kept it. I might go back later and paint them if it ever bothers me, but as of right now, I dig it. My printer wouldn't print properly, but good ol' Stark Resilient came through and was able to print and mail me the patches for the jacket arms. I encased them in packing tape, cut them out, and glued them on before putting a coat of Modpodge over them to dull the excessive shine of the tape. Now I can't decide which version of Dane to put on my Avengers shelf... ![]() |
