The new Tomb Raider game is out, so that meant I should go back and fix up a little more Tomb Raider related stuff. I considering doing the classic alternate costume for the new Tomb Raider, but ended up not being able to get to that. So, instead, I reworked my classic Lara Croft a bit, giving her an alternate head featuring no glasses. This is one of my favorite things about the BossFight bodies. Head swapping is super easy. So, just repainted another of the female BossFight heads.
you've completely sold me on the BFS blanks. I love it! any advice when working with them? priming, sanding, head options? I'm not trying to sneak into your secret sauce, it's just that they would work perfectly for something I've had in mind and I'd like to know what your experience with the product has been before I buy them.
They are my absolute favorite female build. They come color cast, so there's not really a need for priming. The only things I've had to sand before are shoulders, elbows, and ankles. Just if the paint doesn't match the base body. And I sand down the chest just a little, too. I ordered a few at first, but I grabbed a ton this last time. Having a wide color variety does make things a lot simpler when it comes to assembly. They send four heads with each body, and I tend to generally just use those, but I found out recently that the MarauderGunRunners heads are a perfect fit. The mini kits are fantastic too, but I think they're still sold in blind bags. I ended up loving the boxer kit for the shoes, so I just grabbed a few more off eBay. And if you want to make them taller, swap out the lower legs for the Marvel Universe ladies. The Dagger, Emma Frost, and Aurora legs. Fit great, make them taller, and add more articulation.
Thanks for the beta! I'm sold on 3.75. the base costs alone area winner. I think I'm going to rethink the scale of me series, there seems to be so much more fodder out there thanks to decades of GI Joes and so on. just checked out the heads you recommended and spot on, everything I need for my project can be found between the two companies! thank you!
