"CAPCOM presents!!!"

An homage to one of my key players during my tournament days, on Marvel vs Capcom. Captain Commando! This one was a lot of work, but a welcome challenge! I started with a Hasbro Cap America upper body, 1st movie Cap lower body (some sculpt and a waist pin secured to connect the 2, after cutting the Cap body at the waist and Dremeling it down to the pant sculpt). Cast Commander Rogers head, with sculpt shades and hair made with procreate so it won't' break if dropped). Shoulders, belt, belt buckle, belt hoops, torso armor and some of the forearms are sculpt. The back of the forearms are from Savage Dragon She Dragon armor. various hoses cut and modded to fit over the armored Taskmaster arms (Onslaught wave I think). Ultimate Sabretooth (Toybiz) fists modified and geared up. The elbows retain articulation but are too heavily modded to really work, but they do still move. Tons of areas to sandpaper, eliminating paint rub. Shoes are from Disney Tron figure. Shins and front of shoes have a ridged strip glued dowm, with a seam sculpt around them. I took some artistic liberties , changing some of the details, to give it a more updated look, similar to everyone in Street Fighter 4 (Nash has a Captain Commando skin). I made the shades red by mistake, but me and the buyer agreed it looks cooler and gives him all the primary colors, iconic heroes rock. Gold star and cuff on the wrist gauntlets. Oh, the chestplate is from DCUC Forager, modified with some sculpt to blend it to the body. This was a lot of work, a welcomed challenge and milestone for me. I like the design of Captain Commando and remember playing the sidescroller way back when, also Marvel vs Capcom was when Capcom really made the character shine.

A core character to my team, back when I would hit the arcade with just a $1.00. I would run up a win streak and was pretty well known up and down the Bay Area arcades. Funny being the Black kid that people couldn't understand why I was so good at Street Fighter and Marvel vs Capcom. Anyway, thanks for checking this one out, this character means a lot to me and I did my best to do it justice. I didn't get everything exactly as wanted for the sake of time and responsibility, but I love the results. Lot's to do and thanks for riding on this journey with me.

Thanks for looking and good fortune to you!
