The merchandising rights to Star Trek are all over the place, with Paramount owning the film rights and the television rights belonging to CBS, so any kind of corporate synergy to consolidate their properties is nonexistent. And with the 2009 figure line dead, we got no line to go with the follow up film, STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS. Luckily the figures are easily recyclable. This is a modified Kirk figure with a ball jointed head, a more accurate likeness, new hands and I adjusted the legs at the hips for a more action oriented pose. I did this with all of my Star Trek customs, honestly. I included with this Kirk a phaser rifle that he uses earlier in the movie, and with this costume he looks like an update of Shatner Kirk from the 1966 second pilot episode “WHERE NO MAN HAS GONE BEFORE.” Figure was completed in 2013.
