Years ago I never had a chance to get the Legacy collection Ben Kenobi figure but I did have a potf one which I liked the head for and then added Jedi Council Obi-wan's arms and Eeth Koth's legs and skirt. This gave me an ok Ben for my childhood. Years later I got some of the earlier VOTC figures made before the VC line and I was really disapointed with Ben's pin like Earthworm Jim head (see my youtube review on deaditer if you want details). He also had a weak material skirt with a lack of detail and his legs didn't move at all, whilst his arms just swivelled at the elbows. Also the lightsaber was AWFUL.

So I ended up making massive changes to this figure. I used a Episode I Obi-Wan's arm joints and hollowed out Ben's, combined them and sculped over with miliput white. Then using heat I got the waist off and ended up making it just a stamp like shape so that there was just the peg that fits in the torso and a bit beneath so I coul then attach Revenge of the Sith Legacy Kenobi legs giving him the ability to stand in better poses, then stuck Ben's boots beneath. Again I just used Eeth's skirt, but also Agen Kolar's for the 2 tassle parts. I used the potf head Ben again but gave it a much needed repaint. I hate how older figures had the white dot in the eye for lighting but Ben seemed to just have blue eyes with a white dot, so I redid them naturally, painted his beard with bits of blonde that Alec Guiness had and then gave the hair and beard a white dry brush and a few other details and gave him a proper lightsaber.

I loved the excuse to recreate scenes, which with 3D cutouts and scene pieces are very easy for Star Wars figures. I've also included the original custom figure I made as a kid next to the much needed upgrade.
