Boba Fett has been one of my favourite characters for years. That armour is iconic and I've met Jeremy Bulloch multiple times at cons and love that he is seen as 'cool because he put a bucket on his head' Anyway, my earliest Boba figure was the 300th figure version but I got it in the Bounty Hunter meeting gift set. I loved his design and the pose he was in but wanted better articulation. Then years later I got the evolutions set and was disapointed with the paint job, the cape, the lack of antena swivel, the way his figer didn't fit in the gun trigger and that no gadgets were present. Over the years I've collected all the Boba and Jango figures and now I've incorporated the appropriate gadgets for Boba. This means that the 'claws' used to save Jango from that fall I didn't include as I didn't like the look and didn't want to add magnets in his arms either, but what I did include was the grapling rope from Kamino Escape Jango, the flame thrower from Jango Geonosis and the firing jet pack. This custom uses: the VC Boba Fett as a base, with the 300th gun, cape and Helmet hollowed out so he can have a better shaped higher detailed, less weak thin helmet and a workable antenna as well as a spring inserted in the jetpack, the jets swapped with the ones from the Return of the Jedi Boba so I could use the fire effect as well as the gun from this Boba trimmed down the barrel with grabling stuck on from stormtroopers guns then the scope was lengthened using the barrel from a Han blaster and altered then some miliput was used to get rid of any gaps in its sculpt and a end piece where the laser is shot from added with a hole in. For his Empire gun I just added a hole in the 300th's barrel then painted it, brown for the stock and silver for the tip. I made an extra gun because his rifle changes between films and I like the new look more. I also made a swivel joint in Boba's wrists as I felt this made him able to hold his rifle in more poses than before. I gave him a repaint with a Green between Empire and Jedi figures that just appears right. It doesn't't quite show in the images but the colour is a better Green than the really pale version Hasbro did which almost blends with the grey. I added details all over the figure that haven't been done in this scale. Details like the red dots on the antena top, the blue and red buttons on his left gauntlet and the flame thrower details, the yellow dots on the jet pack which have been seen before, but the silver and red ones on the sides of the jets are now present. Naturally as I said I painted him a lighter green with a silver wash. Also his pistol gun (which why didn't he use after his blaster was cut in half...) was painted bronze.

I'm sure that was all very illiterate, but that's what it took to make. Years ago I just used the hollowed out head as a helm on a VC Boba but now I've done a full on repaint, added gadgets, made the wrists rotate above and below the gauntlets and made everything he needs functional. The helmet really makes him look right, the soft squishy removable helmets just don't look like Boba.

Naturally many photo's followed.

Thanks! I've done this method of taking every figure needed that was made around a character to incorporate every detail and keep the articulation good, feel like my fellowship post explains that, but I never imagined I’d do it on this small scale. Yeah Boba is legend and according to the new Disney canon he still survived!

Thanks. You know what’s funny about Boba in photoshoots? He isn’t the focus as he’s the ‘henchman’ of Star Wars, so I get distracted by my Vader which I guess is technically a custom.... it’s just taking the cloak from the Dearh Star Vader 2002-3 era saga figures put on the blackseries episode 3 Vader which has become my mainstake Vader in all photos... and yeah looking forward to new show but clone wars more!
