Krang (Organic Body) (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) Figure Inque
Name:Krang (Organic Body)
Toy Series:Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Custom Type:Action Figure
Creator:northjason
Base Figure:Playmates First Appearance Leonardo

I didn't think brain meats could generate muscles and take over the world with their newfound fleshy fortitude, but clearly I've been wrong all these years and we're all gonna die or be mutated horribly. Let's bask in the birthing viscera and glory of our new overlord, and gaze longingly into those hypnotic folds of flesh while we still have all our eyeballs. "Flesh" is such a gross word. Say it with me, fleesssshhhh!

Believe it or not, there's a ninja turtle base under all that sculpting. Never let it be said that customizers don't have a sense of humor. And because no brainy veiny mad scientist whackadoo is complete without greebly gizmos, North stuck all sorts of bits into Krang's squishy body, not letting anything in his fodder bin go to waste. Non-descript tubing #6? Generic laser gun #26? Your time has come!

Jason informs us Krang was built at a crawling pace over a few months, like some hideous fungus growing unbeknownst in your shower, waiting for the day you inevitably confuse it with the bar of soap and rub it all over your body, spreading its mind-control spores into all your nooks and crannies.

Take note of how the strands of brain still have a rounded profile. Newbies tend to squish down details like that when they stick the sculpting medium to the figure, resulting in a flat surface, but North kept all the bulging dimensionality and I made up a word as a result. Enough of my lip-flapping, lets hear from the man himself:

"Krang's graymatter was rolled out in about 1" rope strands, curled and looped back repeatedly to make an arbitrary pattern, and then feathered together along every edge where the strand touched itself or another strand so that it became a continuous shell over the original figure. It was pretty tedious, but this piece was my first after being separated from the hobby for almost five years and I wanted to put everything into it."
