I don't know why I'm making Thanksgiving references in August. What can I say, surviving on nothing but canned soup makes me delirious. StarRunn has delivered a consistent stream of customs showing that even funky retro figs from the '60s can look amazing with a little elbow grease. This whole cohesive piece was assembled with random bits of fodder, and some plastic vacuuforming for the helmet, which I find nuts because the fig was finished in 1969! Were vaccuforming machines just laying around everywhere in the '60s? Were they as common then as microwaves are now? Recently updated as part of an ongoing project, I'm pretty sure that's a bottlecap SR used for the base, but who can tell now that it has metal plating and gizmo towers and a swaggering AIM grunt on it. I'm tickled that that used to be a race car driver figure. He's all cheery, strolling over to his fancy evil race car when really he's probably just gonna get melted by a stray laser in the next panel.
