While many of Dolly's customs have swapped parts and sculpted bits, the strongest feature is the paint jobs that alternate between the clean, bold colors seen on the old cartoons and comics the characters come from and a subtle distressed effect that comes from careful drybrushing. Some have both, creating an interesting juxtaposition of textures. This latest Catwoman clawed at my attention because it showcases all those traits. A rich bold purple is softened by feathery lavender highlights almost simulating velvet or suede, contrasting with the harsh black void of the gloves and boots. Parts from 5 different figures were frankensteined together, maybe not seamlessly in some spots, but good enough to make an impression.
